Stages In The Life Cycle Of A Predatory Stink Bug, Euthyrhynchus Floridanus (L.)

Introduction

This is the 4th in a series of circulars on the identification of eggs, nymphs, and adults of predatory stink bugs. Euthyrhynchus floridanus (Linnaeus) is a medium-sized asopine stink bug which preys on a wide variety of other arthropods including southern green stink bug, Nezara viridula (Linnaeus); West Indian sugarcane rootstalk borer, Diaprepes abbreviatus (Linnaeus); velvetbean caterpillar, Anticarsia gemmatalis Hübner; Colorado potato beetle, Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say); alfalfa weevil, Hypera postica (Gyllenhal); and others (Mead, 1976).
